Well there is finally a way to evolve pokemon that evolve through trade without trading!!! I have edited all the Generation 4 and 5 Pokemon roms to create Pokemon NTEVO (No Trading Evolutions) Roms.

1. Download the .zip file and extract it.

2. Rename your existing save file (.sav file) of the game which can be found in the Battery folder in NO$GBA emulator to match the name of the edited rom you just downloaded. (E.g. if you downloaded the "Pokemon Heart Gold NTEVO.nds" ROM, change the name of your Heart Gold save file to "Pokemon Heart Gold NTEVO.sav".)

3. Then open the downloaded ROM on No$GBA and play.

3. Your Save file will be fully compatible with the ROM because the ONLY change I've made is a way to evolve pokemon that evolve through trade without trading. All other pokemon, their evolutions, maps, trainers, events all remain the same.

4. You can't exactly call these ROMS hacks because only trade evolutions have been edited.

The edited evolutions are listed below:

NOTE : IT IS ONLY THE POKEMON LISTED BELOW WHOSE EVOLUTION PATTERNS HAVE CHANGED. OTHER POKEMON'S EVOLUTION PATTERNS ARE WHAT THEY ARE IN ANY 4th or 5th GENERATION GAME.

Kadabra >> Alakazam (evolves at level 42)
Machoke >> Machamp (evolves at level 47)
Graveler >> Golem (evolves at level 45)
Haunter >> Gengar (evolves at level 48)
Boldore >> Gigalith  (evolves at level 40)
Gurdurr >> Conkeldurr  (evolves at level 47)
Shelmet >> Accelgor (evolves at level 36)
Karrablast >> Escavalier (evolves at level 36)

Poliwhirl >> Politoed (if King's Rock is held and levelled up by 1 during day time)

5. These ROMs are made for those who don't want to use pokesav, pokegen or other cheating tools to create pokemon. This kinda gives you a genuine feeling.
